Hosted and moderated the 6th AFLIGA Fireside Dialogue, commemorating African Union Day and bringing together diplomatic, academic and policy voices to examine Africa’s role and agency in shaping the global agenda.
The 6th AFLIGA Fireside Dialogue, organised by the Africa Future Leaders Institute of Global Affairs, was held as part of the commemoration of African Union Day under the theme, “Africa’s Role and Agency in Global Affairs: Past, Present and Future- Prospects and Challenges.”
The dialogue brought together scholars, diplomats, policymakers, development practitioners and emerging leaders to reflect on Africa’s place in global affairs and the continent’s ability to shape, rather than simply respond to, the global agenda.
As MC and moderator, I guided the programme and facilitated the flow of the dialogue, connecting perspectives from the keynote address, expert discussants and the open forum. The programme featured the representative of the Speaker of Parliament of Ghana, Rt. Hon. Alban Bagbin as Special Guest of Honour, a keynote by Prof. Lord Mawuko-Yevugah, and contributions from Nadia Baye, Prof. Jeffrey Haynes and Dr. Tolulope Adeogun.
